Sauble Falls provincial Park
Campground Map
I have been to Sauble Falls Provincial Park more time's than any other park in Ontario. I love the beach, the water, the sand, and of coarse the falls. It's also close to all kinds of hiking spots including the Bruce Trail.
The falls are not the tallest but the steps are interesting and fun to walk on. The water is slow enough and shallow enough that you can easily walk from one side to the other. Our camp site was very close to the falls and we visited them every day.
Although Sauble Beach is a 5 minute car ride away and there are closer parks within walking distance, I still love Sauble Provincial Park. The beach is in my opinion the best in Ontario. It isn't the largest but you can't beat the sandy shores of Lake Huron. Sauble Beach is on the east shore of Lake Huron so there are some pretty spectacular sunsets to be seen as well. We were lucky enough to be visiting on the July 1'st Canada Day weekend and got to see the fireworks from the beach.
Sauble Falls Provincial Park is not one of the biggest provincial parks, with only 140 site's you will need to book ahead and book early. Especially on long weekends. There are lots of hydro sites on both sides of the highway a plus for motor homes and camper trailers.
